Privacy Policy

PCtesti respects user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use pctesti.com, why that information may be used and the choices available to users.

Our general approach is to perform browser-based tests locally whenever possible. PCtesti does not pretend to access personal or hardware information that a normal browser cannot provide.

Information That May Be Processed

When you visit PCtesti, certain technical information may be processed as part of operating and securing the website. This may include browser type, general device or platform category, requested page, request time, test type and similar technical information.

An IP address may be processed for server security, abuse prevention and rate limiting. For selected PCtesti Tools security functions, one-way hashed or pseudonymous identifiers may be used instead of storing the raw IP address directly.

Test Results and Anonymous Technical Data

Some PCtesti tools may store limited technical information such as the test type, test score, general device category, platform and browser type for statistics and anonymous comparisons.

This information may be used to evaluate test performance, provide comparisons with similar devices, identify problematic tests and improve PCtesti tools.

The purpose of this technical information is not to identify users by their real-world identity.

Recent Test History and LocalStorage

PCtesti may use browser localStorage to display your recent test history again in the same browser. This information is stored locally on your device.

Clearing browser data, using private browsing or accessing PCtesti from another device may remove or prevent access to this local history.

Preferences such as your selected language may also be stored locally in your browser.

Microphone Tests

Microphone tests operate through your browser’s permission system. PCtesti cannot access your microphone unless your browser allows access and you grant permission.

Microphone audio may be processed locally in the browser to measure signal level, noise or related test characteristics. Audio is not uploaded to the PCtesti server as a voice recording for the purpose of performing the test.

When the test is stopped or completed, the related media stream is intended to be closed.

Webcam and Camera Tests

Webcam tests also operate through browser permissions. Camera access is not available unless permission is granted.

The camera stream is displayed in your browser so that you can verify whether the device is working. PCtesti does not upload the webcam stream as a video recording for the purpose of performing the test.

Keyboard, Mouse and Gamepad Tests

Keyboard, mouse and gamepad tests may detect key presses, clicks, scrolling, analog controls and similar input events within the browser.

The keyboard test is not intended to store what you type as a keylogging record. Detailed mouse movement paths are not intended to be stored for the purpose of creating a user behavior profile.

Feedback

Responses submitted through features such as “Was this test useful?” may be stored to evaluate and improve the quality of individual tests.

Repeated feedback submissions from the same browser, session or network may be limited to prevent abuse.

Security and Rate-Limit Records

PCtesti may use rate limiting and temporary blocking systems to prevent automated requests, excessive test activity or other behavior that could affect the availability of the website.

This may involve processing pseudonymous IP or session identifiers, action type, request time, rate-limit violations and temporary restriction information. Security event records may be periodically removed to avoid unnecessary retention.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

PCtesti may use cookies, localStorage and similar browser technologies. Cookie preferences may be managed through the Complianz consent system used on the website.

For more information about the technologies used and how you can control your preferences, please read our Cookie Policy.

Google Site Kit and Google Services

PCtesti uses Google Site Kit. Depending on website configuration, Site Kit may connect the website with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google AdSense and other Google services.

If Google Analytics is enabled, information about website visits and usage may be measured. If Google AdSense is enabled, cookies or similar technologies may be used for advertising delivery and measurement.

Google services are also subject to Google’s own privacy policies and terms.

Security Services

PCtesti may use Imunify Security and other server-side security technologies to detect malicious traffic, unauthorized access, bots and attack attempts. These services may process technical information such as IP address, request time, requested URL and browser information.

Caching and Performance

PCtesti uses LiteSpeed Cache to improve website performance and reduce server load. Technical information may be processed as part of caching and performance optimization.

Information You Provide When Contacting Us

If you contact us through the Contact page or by email, we may receive your email address, message and any information that you voluntarily include.

This information may be used to respond to your request, investigate a technical issue or evaluate a business inquiry.

Third-Party Links

PCtesti may contain links to third-party websites. When you visit an external website, that website’s own privacy practices and terms apply.

PCtesti is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites outside our control.

Data Retention

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is processed or as required for technical, security or legal reasons. Some information is stored only locally in your browser through technologies such as localStorage.

Temporary security and rate-limit records may be retained for limited periods and periodically removed.

Data Security

PCtesti uses reasonable technical and administrative measures to help protect the website and processed data. These may include rate limiting, abuse prevention, server security systems and access controls.

However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion or objection to certain processing of your personal information.

You can manage cookie and similar technology preferences through Complianz or your browser settings.

Children’s Privacy

PCtesti is a general-purpose technology and testing website. We do not intentionally seek to collect personal information specifically from children. A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child’s personal information has been handled improperly may contact us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when PCtesti tools, third-party services or legal requirements change. The revised version becomes effective when it is published on this page.
