PCtesti provides free browser-based tools designed to help you check common computer, hardware and peripheral problems. You can test keyboards, mice, microphones, webcams, displays, speakers, gamepads, internet connections and browser performance without installing additional software.
Our goal is not simply to display a test score. Whenever possible, PCtesti also explains what was measured, what may be wrong, the likely causes and what you can check next.
What Is the Purpose of PCtesti?
Not every computer problem means that a component is physically broken. A keyboard key may fail because of a connection or configuration issue, a microphone may be using the wrong input device, and high network latency may be caused by connection conditions rather than the computer itself.

What Can You Test with PCtesti?
- Check whether keyboard keys are detected correctly by the browser.
- Test mouse clicks, double clicks, scrolling and selected movement behavior.
- Check microphone input, signal level and supported noise measurements.
- Verify whether your webcam can be accessed and displayed by the browser.
- Run display, refresh rate, dead pixel and visual checks.
- Test left and right audio channels for speakers and headphones.
- Check gamepad buttons and analog controls.
- Measure browser-visible network latency and selected connection behavior.
- Run browser performance measurements and estimate compatibility with supported games.
Why Use Browser-Based Tests?
One of the main advantages of browser-based testing is that many basic checks can be performed without downloading and installing another program. You can open a test, follow the instructions and receive an initial assessment within a short time.
Web browsers also have important security limitations. PCtesti does not pretend to read information that a normal website cannot access, such as real CPU or GPU temperatures, storage S.M.A.R.T. data, every Windows process or physical RAM errors. When a browser limitation affects a test, we aim to make that limitation clear.
More Than a Test Result
Our approach is to help users understand a problem rather than simply showing “working” or “not working.” Where appropriate, test results may include possible causes, recommended checks and links to related diagnostic tools.
Browser-based results do not replace a professional physical inspection or repair service. They can, however, provide a useful starting point for determining whether a problem may be related to a connection, configuration, browser limitation or possible hardware fault.
How Do We Approach Privacy?
When access to a sensitive device such as a microphone or webcam is required, your browser asks for explicit permission. Microphone audio and webcam video are used within the browser for the relevant test and are not uploaded to our server as audio or video recordings for the purpose of running the test.
The keyboard test is not designed to store the text you type as a keylogging record, and detailed mouse movement paths are not stored for the purpose of building a user behavior profile. Limited anonymous technical information such as test type, score, general device/browser category and feedback may be processed for statistics, comparisons and improving the tests.

Is PCtesti Free?
Yes. The main online tools on PCtesti can be used free of charge. Most tests do not require an account or additional software installation.
